I am looking to recruit an experienced Personal Health Care Assistant to join a small team of Personal Assistants who enable me to live independently in my adapted home in Sittingbourne. I am a man in my 50s with a high spinal cord injury and need support with safe moving and handling, personal care, preparation and cooking of meals, as well health care tasks such as stoma and catheter care, for which training will be provided. I’m keen to employ someone that is reliable, trustworthy, conscientious, and able to use their own initiative. Working as a Personal Health Care Assistant differs from other care roles. Hours and Pay
Hours: Monday and Thursday: 9 hours during the day and 9 hours at night + every 3rd weekend Saturday and Sunday: 9 hours during the day and 9 hours at night. Hourly rate is £14.00 per hour. There may be some flexibility if applicants can only work day shifts or night shifts and additional hours may be available for the right applicant.

Requirements and Selection
The successful applicant needs to have a current driving licence and the ability to drive a manual car. This employment is subject to Safer Recruitment practice. Two references and an Enhanced DBS Check must be received prior to the employment start date and only suitable applicants will be employed. All employees must undertake online Safeguarding Training. Only applicants who have the right to live and work in the UK need apply as sponsorship is not available due to the nature of the employment. This role is working for an individual employer using NHS funds and not working for the NHS.
