Phastar is a multiple award-winning global biometric Contract Research Organization (CRO) that partners with pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device organizations to provide expertise and processes to manage and deliver on time, quality biostatistics, programming, data management and data science services. With offices across the UK, US, Germany, Denmark, Kenya, Australia, India, China and Japan, Phastar is the second largest specialized biometrics provider globally, and the largest in the UK.
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated FP&A Analyst to join our FP&A team, to cover a 1-year fixed term maternity leave contract (although the contract duration could last up to a maximum of 15 months). The successful candidate will be expected in the London office 1 day per week, with the remaining of their work week being remote and will report directly to the Head of FP&A.
This role will be responsible for driving business performance by translating data into actionable insights, managing budgets, forecasts, and financial modelling with an aim to predict future trends, and support strategic decision-making for senior management.
Responsibilities- Core Monthly and annual Financial Reporting, Analysis & Commentary
- Strategic modelling to support Phastar KPIs and value proposition
- Interpreting complex data sets and make recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Developing, designing and maintaining models and dashboards to support financial performance
- Headcount, efficiency and utilisation modelling
- Budget and rolling forecasting coordination
- Assist with the ongoing Project Reporting development and scenario modelling dashboards
- Other ad hoc tasks
- Advanced Power BI proficiency; including Power Query experience
- Good modelling and dashboard understanding, comfortable working with large imperfect datasets
- Experienced with dealing with change, and a fast-growing business. Ambitious and keen to make an impact
- Experience in a ‘people driven’ professional services business, where utilisation and recruitment are key drivers of value
- Forward focused with an eye on improvement and incremental gains
- Strong attention to detail and an inquisitive nature
- Ability to work as part of a team and to build strong working relationships
- Personable and approachable, strong relationship management skillset
- SQL, Open Air experience would be beneficial
