The Role

As Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Registered Manager in the day‑to‑day running of the service. You will provide strong leadership to staff, ensure the highest standards of care and compliance, and contribute to the growth and development of the service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Registered Manager in overseeing daily operations of the home.
  • Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of care/support staff.
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted and regulatory standards.
  • Develop care plans and risk assessments tailored to individual needs.
  • Maintain excellent communication with residents, families, and external professionals.
  • Contribute to staff training, recruitment, and ongoing development.

About You

  • Previous experience in a Deputy Manager, Team Leader, or Senior role within care or supported living.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Knowledge of Ofsted requirements and safeguarding legislation.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and problem‑solving skills.
  • A caring, professional, and positive approach.
  • NVQ Level 4 (minimum) in Health & Social Care (Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards).
