We are looking for a Junior Buyer to join us on a 12-month fixed term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our coveted event collection for the Phase Eight customer.
Join us as a Junior Buyer and you’ll be part of the team that develops and delivers the successful and distinctive product ranges that set Phase Eight apart. As the Junior Buyer, you’ll work closely with the Head of Occasionwear on the department to recognise and cater to our global customers, ensuring a balanced range that firmly aligns with our brand and product and brand direction. In this role, you\’ll also be managing your own product category.
What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate with our design and technical team to create and develop new event apparel that align with our brand and market trends.
- With guidance from the Head of Occasionwear drive trade on a daily and weekly basis, chasing into strong reactions and seeding new ideas.
- Manage and maintain strong working relationships with our suppliers, negotiating prices and terms to ensure we get the best possible products at the right cost.
- Stay ahead of the curve and foresee product opportunities by conducting market research and competitor analysis to identify upcoming trends and opportunities for the Phase Eight brand in event.
- Mentor and coach the Assistant Buyer on your team, celebrating their success and developing their skills.
Who You’ll Be:
As the Junior Buyer, you’ll be strategic with relevant buying experience at Senior Assistant Buyer and/or Junior Buyer level, eager to embrace the next level of responsibility in your career. Your proven background in a Buying department, where you’ve already strategically contributed to developing product ranges will be essential for success in this role. A great communicator, you will be able to build strong relationships with both internal teams and external suppliers for the duration of the 12-month fixed term contract.
