As Payroll Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of clients. You will act as a payroll subject matter expert, applying best practice and providing advice and guidance to clients on payroll matters. This role will be primarily home-based, with team building and training days held at the Phase 3 office in Manchester City Centre on average once a quarter.
Key Responsibilities and Qualifications
- Manage the full end-to-end payroll process for client payrolls, ensuring that all payrolls are accurate, completed on time, and all statutory submissions are performed within required deadlines.
- Auto-enrolment duties on client payrolls including upload of new starters, monthly contributions and cyclical re-enrolment.
- Client meetings to discuss issues and priorities.
- Working well with conflicting priorities and deadlines.
- Operate flexibly and have a desire to learn new systems and processes in a supportive environment.
- Be proactive and accountable to the highest calibre of professionalism, service and accuracy.
- Experience of Unit4 Payroll.
- Experience managing high volume payroll(s) with 1000+ Employees.
- Experience of working in a bureau.
- Strong Excel Skills, including competency in VLOOKUP, pivot tables and intermediate formulas.
- Knowledge of P11Ds/payrolled benefits.
- Communicative fluency, both verbal and in documentation.
- Ability to manage own workload.
- Excitement about flexibility, independence, initiative and knowledge-sharing in your job.
- Commitment to clients, team and a Phase 3 role.
