About the Company
Our client is an established independent mortgage and protection brokerage in Hertfordshire, advising individuals, families and businesses across the UK on mortgages, protection and wider financial solutions. Known for a personal touch and experienced advisers, they regularly handle substantial protection cases and are now looking to add a dedicated Protection Adviser to the team.
About the Role
This is an urgent requirement, with a start from the beginning of November. You will join as an employed Protection Adviser, receiving protection introductions from six in-house mortgage advisers and turning them into well-advised, high-value cases, with premiums frequently well over £100 per month. The business would like you in the office 2-3 days a week initially, ideally full time while you settle in. Once you are confident managing the role independently, full-time hybrid or fully remote working will be considered, depending on your experience and ability.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and progress protection introductions from the six mortgage advisers
- Advise clients on protection solutions suited to their needs and circumstances
- Handle substantial protection cases, with premiums frequently well over £100 per month
- Carry out thorough fact-finds and research the market to recommend suitable cover
- Convert introductions into completed, well-structured protection cases
- Build strong working relationships with the mortgage advisers to maximise introductions
- Maintain accurate, FCA-compliant client records
- Provide excellent client care through to policy completion
Package
- Up to £30,000 basic salary, depending on experience and calibre
- Stepped commission of up to 15%
- Expected OTE of £50,000+, based on current performance, with uncapped earning potential
- Protection introductions from six in-house mortgage advisers
- Office-based 2-3 days a week initially, with hybrid or fully remote working considered as you progress
Skills & Experience
- Experience advising on protection, with salary reflecting your experience and calibre
- Relevant FCA advice qualifications, such as CeMAP or equivalent
- Confident, consultative communicator who can build trust quickly with clients
- Able to work closely with a team of mortgage advisers to convert introductions
- Self-motivated and able to manage your own pipeline and work independently over time
- Available to start from the beginning of November
