Are you a highly organised multitasker with good attention to detail? Could you help keep our operations running smoothly, keeping on top of our project schedules to ensure our clients receive the outputs they were expecting, when they expected them? If you’re looking for a varied admin role where you can learn new skills and develop over the longer term within a friendly, supportive team this might be the perfect fit for you.
About you
We are looking for a flexible, multi-purpose administrator who is comfortable juggling different tasks and jumping in where needed. You should have a sharp eye for detail and a proactive mindset to identify and resolve potential issues before they become a problem. You’ll be comfortable keeping on top of project management and CRM software and be confident sending emails to customers and our team of expert risk management advisers to ensure everyone is on track and in the loop.
This role requires someone who can seamlessly do more than one thing at a time, proven in your experience of working in a busy office environment for 2+ years. You’ll be the kind of person who enjoys variety, as we hope the successful candidate will adopt new responsibilities and grow alongside our small but thriving business over time.
About us
We’re a small, well-regarded team making a big impact on a growing number of clients. We help them to prevent, prepare for, and respond to risk management challenges in the UK and overseas.
Our clients include schools of all types, travel and adventure operators, youth organisations, and charities. Working from our lovely office in the heart of historic Wokingham, you’ll be joining an energetic, specialist team where your contribution will be genuinely valued.
About the role
Initially, your primary focus will be on administering and coordinating our service delivery. This will make up the majority of your time, with the remainder spent supporting other colleagues in the office as a versatile team player.
Key responsibilities
- Supporting our busy admin team to coordinate service delivery: Administering training courses, consultancy visits, and retained customer service.
- Client service plan checking: Carefully reviewing project briefs to ensure clarity for our Advisers and that the project will deliver exactly the services requested by our clients.
- Task and consultant coordination: Keeping on top of tasks, assigning actions, and liaising directly with our Advisers to keep projects moving.
- Proactive support: Knowing what is going on across the business and actively thinking ahead about what support is required to make things happen.
- General office support: Adopting various admin tasks as needed to assist colleagues across the business. To some extent, we can adapt this part of your work around your skills, experience and preferences.
Key skills that will help you succeed in this job
- Ability to multitask and confidently manage several priorities at once.
- Great attention to detail gained from experience working in an office.
- A proactive, forward-thinking approach to problem-solving and support.
- Familiarity with task management software
- Adaptability and a willingness to learn new skills and evolve with the business.
Pay, benefits and work arrangements
- Permanent, full-time position based in central Wokingham.
- Working arrangements: We can offer some flexibility (including reduced hours during school holidays if helpful) but the successful candidate should expect to be office based, including during school holidays (annual leave excluded of course!).
- Company performance bonus.
- Pension
- 25 days' holiday with holiday buy/sell options.
- BUPA Employee Assistance Programme & Private GP service.
- Company wellbeing and personal development voucher.
- Cycle to work scheme.
Due to the nature of our clients' work with children and the access to confidential personal data, the successful candidate will need to maintain professional confidentiality and will be required to conduct a Disclosure and Barring Service (police screening) check.
Please note: We are only able to accept applications from individuals who have full UK working rights. We are an Equal Opportunities employer and have signed up to the Armed Forces Covenant scheme, so we welcome applications from those who have served or been connected to the armed forces.
