Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Operations Manager to lead and optimize our operational processes. In this vital role, you will oversee daily business functions, streamline workflows, and implement initiatives that drive efficiency and growth. Your leadership will ensure our operations support the company’s mission to provide accessible healthcare services while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
Duties
- Operational Management
- Oversee daily business operations across multiple functions to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
- Commercial & Financial Oversight
- Manage commercial property matters including building maintenance, negotiating business rates, council tax assessments, as required
- Legal & Regulatory Compliance
- Coordinate legal matters including partnership agreements, contracts, and commercial documentation
- Oversee regulatory licensing applications and renewals (such as WDA for pharmacy operations)
- Ensure compliance with all relevant business regulations and industry standards
- Manage relationships with solicitors, regulatory consultants, and compliance advisors
- Project Management
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional projects from initiation through completion
- Manage timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications
- Oversee completion of business partnerships and commercial agreements
- Track project progress and report to senior leadership
- Stakeholder Management
- Act as primary point of contact for external advisors, consultants, and regulatory bodies
- Build and maintain relationships with key business partners and suppliers
- Coordinate between internal departments to ensure alignment on operational priorities
- Communicate operational updates to leadership and board members
- Team Leadership
- Supervise operational staff and administrative functions
- Delegate tasks effectively and ensure accountability
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and best practices
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement improvements
- Monitor key performance indicators and report on operational metrics
Experience
- Proven experience in business operations management within healthcare, e-commerce, or related sectors
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster collaboration
- Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in data-driven decision-making tools
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and quality assurance processes
- Exceptional communication skills for stakeholder engagement at all levels
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with process optimisation methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma is a plus
