Job Overview
You will provide high-quality clinical scientific support across the radiotherapy pathway, ensuring safe, effective, and timely treatment delivery. The role blends clinical physics (planning support, independent checking, patient-specific QA and machine QA) with commissioning, change control and technique development, aligned to UK standards and regulatory expectations (including IR(ME)R and CQC requirements).
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical scientific support across the radiotherapy pathway, ensuring safe, effective, and timely treatment delivery.
- The role blends planning support, independent checking, patient‑specific QA, machine QA, commissioning, change control and technique development aligned to UK standards and regulatory expectations (including IR(ME)R and CQC requirements).
Qualifications
- MPE status or portfolio expected to be completed within 6 months.
- MSc (or higher) in Medical / Radiation Physics or equivalent (including recognised UK equivalence routes where applicable).
- Demonstrable competence in radiotherapy physics across core areas.
Benefits
- Annual Salary: £79,040
- Annual leave of 25 days + bank holidays (increasing to 27 days after 3 years' service)
- Pension: Auto‑enrolled from day 1 at 5% (employer contribution 4%). You can also opt to increase your contribution to 6% to which the employer will also contribute 6%.
