Hours: Full Time (Mon-Fri, 37.5 hrs per week)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurse Leader to provide strong clinical and operational leadership within our new cancer centre. This role is accountable for delivering outstanding, patient-centred, evidence-based care while fostering a positive, inclusive culture that reflects Icon's values. We are looking for a Registered Nurse (NMC) with significant post-registration experience in oncology, including SACT competence and a relevant postgraduate qualification or experience.

You will bring proven leadership capability, excellent communication skills and a passion for developing motivated teams, driving clinical quality, and continuously improving patient experience in line with regulatory and governance standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and develop high-quality Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) and radiation oncology services, ensuring safe, effective, and patient-centred care aligned with national standards and best practice.
  • Provide effective leadership and management to clinical teams, driving performance, development and a positive, inclusive working environment.
  • Oversee clinical governance, quality assurance and regulatory compliance, ensuring adherence to CQC standards and continuous improvement.
  • Manage operational delivery of the department, including workforce planning, service performance and implementation of new practice.

Location: Icon UK are proud to be opening a Cancer Centre in Newport, South Wales. The facility is custom-built and will provide state of the art oncology services to our patients. The centre will offer the following services:

  • Chemotherapy
  • Diagnostic Services

The centre is based just outside of Newport, with convenient access from the M4.
