About The Role

We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to support the Rushden site facilities team. The role involves planned preventive maintenance, support breakdown repairs and general facilities maintenance. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, a team player and eager to learn.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Efficiently conduct corrective and preventative maintenance activities originating from work orders.
  • Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns.
  • Ensure that preventative maintenance schedules are completed on time.
  • Ensure all documentation of maintenance activities is to GxP standards and accurate reports are generated.
  • Proactively identify maintenance plan improvements and omissions, working with Engineering Supervisor.
  • Work on small projects, including design, installation, commissioning or minor systems.
  • Seek new, innovative and cost-advantageous methods of completing work without compromising safety or quality.
  • Maintain sufficient stock of materials, equipment and parts.
  • Carry out all work to the highest standards of safety, addressing hazard and risk issues and reporting to management.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in electrical or mechanical engineering, or experience in a similar role (training available).
  • Experience working in a regulated industry and understanding of GxP standards (training provided).
  • Broad knowledge and interest in mechanical systems and maintenance.
  • Safety conscious and aware of key HSE legislation.
  • Ability to adapt to change and be flexible.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to identify opportunities for improvement.
