Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance, support breakdown repairs and general facilities maintenance.
- Efficiently conduct corrective and preventative maintenance activities originating from Work Orders.
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns.
- Ensure that preventative maintenance schedules are completed on time.
- Document all maintenance activities to GxP standards (training will be provided) and generate accurate reports.
- Proactively identify maintenance plan improvements or omissions and work with the Engineering Supervisor to keep PM plans relevant, technically correct and compliant.
- Work on small projects where required, including design, installation, commissioning or minor system modifications.
- Seek innovative, cost‑advantageous methods of completing work without compromising safety or quality.
- Maintain a sufficient stock of materials, equipment and parts to carry out requisite work.
- Ensure all work is carried out to the highest safety standards and proactively address potential hazard and risk issues, reporting them to management for prompt action.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds equivalent in electrical or mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience (training available).
- Experience in a regulated industry with an understanding of GxP standards (training will be provided).
- Broad-based knowledge and interest in mechanical, systems and maintenance.
- Safety conscious and aware of key HSE legislation.
- Ability to adapt to change and remain flexible when required.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Ability to identify opportunities for improvement with a natural problem‑solving mindset.
