Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance, support breakdown repairs and general facilities maintenance.
  • Efficiently conduct corrective and preventative maintenance activities originating from Work Orders.
  • Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns.
  • Ensure that preventative maintenance schedules are completed on time.
  • Document all maintenance activities to GxP standards (training will be provided) and generate accurate reports.
  • Proactively identify maintenance plan improvements or omissions and work with the Engineering Supervisor to keep PM plans relevant, technically correct and compliant.
  • Work on small projects where required, including design, installation, commissioning or minor system modifications.
  • Seek innovative, cost‑advantageous methods of completing work without compromising safety or quality.
  • Maintain a sufficient stock of materials, equipment and parts to carry out requisite work.
  • Ensure all work is carried out to the highest safety standards and proactively address potential hazard and risk issues, reporting them to management for prompt action.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds equivalent in electrical or mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience (training available).
  • Experience in a regulated industry with an understanding of GxP standards (training will be provided).
  • Broad-based knowledge and interest in mechanical, systems and maintenance.
  • Safety conscious and aware of key HSE legislation.
  • Ability to adapt to change and remain flexible when required.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for improvement with a natural problem‑solving mindset.
