About the role: You will support our Business Development team at our Hoddesdon site by preparing and coordinating client proposals for early discovery services. This includes working closely with scientists and commercial colleagues to gather technical information, translate study requirements into clear, tailored proposals, and ensure all costings, timelines, and deliverables are accurate and aligned. You will play a key role in driving the growth of our Discovery offering by delivering high‑quality, competitive proposals in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment, helping convert client enquiries into successful projects.

Key roles and responsibilities:

  • Prepare, update and track quotations and commercial opportunities.
  • Monitor purchase orders, budgets and scope changes.
  • Support the preparation and renewal of client agreements.
  • Provide regular updates to BD Managers on opportunity status and operational risks.
  • Ensure opportunities and accounts are accurately maintained in Salesforce.
  • Upload and manage supporting documentation for active and closed opportunities.
  • Review dashboards and reports, sharing insights with BD and internal stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain account summaries covering key stakeholders, ongoing projects, funding updates and strategy.
  • Coordinate and attend client collaboration meetings, capturing and sharing meeting minutes.
  • Act as a central point of coordination between clients, BD and internal Pharmaron teams.
  • Work closely with project management, operations, logistics and scientific teams to ensure alignment.
  • Support compound transfers and project timelines when required.

Requirements:

  • MSc in Biology, Biochemistry or a related life science discipline.
  • Around 2–4 years’ experience within a scientific or laboratory environment (ideally ADME/PK or similar).
  • Strong understanding of ADME/PK principles and discovery studies.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high‑quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Confident working independently while collaborating across teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office.

Desirable:

  • Experience in proposals, pricing, contracts or commercial roles.
  • Exposure to CRO, pharma or biotech environments.
  • Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce.
  • Commercial awareness and interest in business development processes.
