About the Role
The role involves planning and coordinating engineering activities on site, ensuring site assets and systems are compliant, and developing site compliance and asset integrity and management strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and estimate tasks that are candidates for planning and scheduling.
- Utilise systems to enter, retrieve and communicate the various planning and scheduling information and parts ordering.
- Manage all aspects of compliance for a lower‑tier COMAH site by developing integrity and asset care programs that meet regulatory and good‑practice standards.
- Ensure equipment is designed, maintained, operated and decommissioned following best industry practices.
- Apply HSE requirements for a COMAH site to ensure safe systems of work, risk assessments, pressure systems directives, statutory requirements and legislation.
- Update job knowledge by tracking emerging compliance engineering practices and standards (EEMUA, ISO, API, ASME, BS, HSG, L8, LOLER).
- Collaborate with Maintenance, Projects and HSE on asset qualification to ensure all assets are fit for use and compliant with current legislation.
- Work with Maintenance and HSE on investigations.
- Ensure coded repairs follow correct procedures, documentation and testing.
- Determine the scope, trade, personnel, tools, parts and equipment needs for each task and document the job plan to reduce delays to maintenance activities.
Candidate Profile
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum HNC/Foundation Degree in engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience.
- Advanced planning and scheduling skills.
- Familiarity with material resource planning (MRP).
- Experience using the Microsoft Office 365 platform.
