As a Lifeways Support Worker, you'll do far more than provide care.

You'll help people build confidence, maintain their independence, stay connected to the people who matter to them and live the life they choose.

We're looking for caring, reliable people who want to make a genuine difference.

You don't need previous care experience.

What matters most is your attitude, values and willingness to support others.

A full driving licence is essential for this role, but not because you'll spend your day driving from appointment to appointment. Driving gives the people we support opportunities.

It means helping someone visit family, get to college, attend a job interview, enjoy a day out, pursue a hobby, go shopping independently or simply spend time in their local community.

Sometimes the smallest things can have the biggest impact.

Whether that's somebody ordering a coffee independently for the first time, catching up with friends, or building the confidence to try something new, you'll play a part in making those moments happen.

What will you be doing?

No two days are the same, but your role may include

  • Supporting people in their own homes and within their local community
  • Encouraging independence and helping people achieve personal goals
  • Supporting people to attend appointments, activities and days out
  • Building positive and meaningful relationships
  • Helping people develop life skills and confidence
  • Supporting people to maintain relationships with family and friends
  • Providing emotional support and encouragement

Alongside this, you may also provide support with

  • Personal care
  • Medication
  • Meal preparation
  • Household tasks
  • Budgeting and daily routines

Great support is about much more than personal care, but personal care may form part of the role depending on the needs of the people you support.

Every person is different. Every day is different. That's what makes the role so rewarding.

  • What You'll Need
  • A full UK driving licence
  • A caring, positive and respectful attitude
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • A willingness to learn and develop
  • No previous care experience required, as full training will be provided
  • What You'll Get
  • Business mileage is paid, meaning you'll be reimbursed for travel undertaken as part of your role.
  • Full training and ongoing support
  • Free DBS check
  • Blue Light Card discounts
  • Refer a Friend bonus - £200 per referral
  • Access to Stream our financial planning app allowing team members to access a portion of their earned income anytime before payday, providing flexibility and control over their money
  • Our Employee Assistance Programme
  • CHOICE Rewards
  • Opportunities to gain recognised qualifications
  • Clear progression pathways into senior, specialist and management roles
  • You're Not Just Anyone

Someone who understands that support isn't just about completing tasks. It's about helping people build confidence, gain independence, create memories and live fulfilling lives.
