We have a brand new opportunity available for a Non-Functional Performance Tester with strong experience in data-intensive systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating system performance, scalability, and reliability, especially in environments where large volumes of data are processed. What you’ll be doing?
- Conduct penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and security audits across applications, networks, and data environments.
- Design and execute performance, load, stress, and scalability tests for data-driven applications.
- Analyse system behaviour under different data volumes and user loads.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to understand data flows and identify performance bottlenecks.
- Develop test scripts and scenarios using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling.
- Monitor system metrics (CPU, memory, I/O, network) during test execution.
- Provide detailed performance reports and recommendations for improvements.
- Validate data integrity and consistency during performance testing.
- Ensure compliance with non-functional requirements and SLAs.
Who are we looking for?
- Solid understanding of Agile principles and Scrum methodology.
- Proven ability to define, prioritise, and deliver high-quality software features.
- Proven experience in non-functional testing, especially performance and scalability testing.
- Strong understanding of data systems, including relational and NoSQL databases.
- Hands-on experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, New Relic).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for test automation.
- Experience with cloud platforms and distributed systems.
- Knowledge of data profiling and analysis techniques.
- Experience with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps).
- Background in SaaS, FinTech, HealthTech, or eCommerce.
- Familiarity with UX/UI principles and user-centric design.
- Working knowledge of data privacy laws and compliance standards.
- Experience with DevSecOps and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.
- Exposure to machine learning models and their security implications.
- Experience with big data technologies.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration of performance tests.
- Exposure to data privacy and compliance testing.
