The Dispensing Assistant plays a key role in supporting the safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing of prescriptions in a fast‑paced environment. What you’ll be doing?
- Dispensing all prescriptions received each day with accuracy and efficiency
- Supporting the clinical team with day‑to‑day operational tasks
- Following dispensary procedures and meeting internal quality and accuracy targets
- Working effectively in a high‑volume, deadline‑driven environment
- Meeting individual and team performance targets to support business objectives
- Taking ownership of prescription labelling and ensuring accuracy at all times
- Collaborating with key teams across the business, including customer service, purchasing, operations, and pharmacists
- Contributing to a positive, supportive, and inclusive working environment
Who are we looking for?
- Must hold an NVQ Level 2 Dispensing Assistant qualification
- Confident with numbers and comfortable using IT systems
- Able to prioritise workload, stay organised, and work accurately under pressure
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrates initiative, proactivity, and a positive approach to problem‑solving
- Experience working in a highly accurate, fast‑paced environment
- Familiar with working to legal, ethical, and professional standards
- GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English at Grade C or above
