The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 ÂŁ per year.

Location: Leeds (LS15 8GB). We operate a hybrid schedule, meaning 2 days a week in the office based.

Salary: ÂŁCompetitive DOE + up to 10% discretionary annual bonus and our extensive benefits.

Contract type: Permanent. Employment type: Full time. Working hours: Monday – Friday 37.5 hours per week 08:30 -17:00.

To deliver class‑leading product availability for patients by ensuring the right stock is in the right place at the right time. This role is accountable for minimising patient owing’s through effective stockholding, supplier quota management, and accurate forecasting in collaboration with suppliers. The Supply Chain Analyst owns inbound service performance and patient service levels, driving continuous improvement across availability and supply reliability.

What you’ll be doing?

  • Placing purchase orders with manufacturers and suppliers in line with forecasts, quota allocations, and stock policies.
  • Proactively following up on purchase orders to ensure confirmed supply, timely dispatch, and on‑time delivery.
  • Owning the investigation of stock‑related complaints and availability issues, identifying root causes and implementing clear, measurable, and sustainable corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Leading the regular review of stockholding across all facilities, ensuring accurate set‑up and ongoing optimisation of min/max levels.
  • Monitoring and managing non‑moving and slow‑moving stock, recommending actions to reduce excess and obsolescence.
  • Implementing and driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance availability, service levels, inventory efficiency, and team ways of working.
  • Working closely with wholesalers and manufacturers to understand supply constraints, quota positions, expected restock dates, and duration of supply disruptions.
  • Collaborating with clinical and customer service teams to assess, agree, and communicate suitable alternatives for out‑of‑stock medicines.
  • Forecasting demand accurately and sharing forecasts with suppliers to support supply planning and quota negotiations.
  • Monitoring inbound service levels and supplier performance against agreed KPIs, escalating risks where required.
  • Analysing availability, owings, and inventory data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures and supply chain best practices.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders on stock availability, supply risks, and mitigation plans.

Who are we looking for?

  • Proven experience in a retail FMCG supply chain or buying environment.
  • Strong numeracy skills with the ability to analyse and interpret complex data.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel capability, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, calculations, sorting and filtering.
  • Proven experience working with multiple systems and large datasets to improve end‑to‑end supply chain performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse data, produce reports, and generate insights to support informed decision‑making.
  • Experience planning and delivering supply optimisation or availability improvement initiatives.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple competing deadlines.
  • Experience working effectively in a fast‑paced, pressured environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a wider cross‑functional team.
  • Experience managing supplier relationships and communicating effectively to achieve service and availability targets.
