Working hours: We work on a core hours principle. Our core hours are 09:30 - 16:00; you can work around these to suit you.
Location: Hybrid schedule, 2-3 days a week in the office based at Thorpe Park, Leeds.
What you’ll be doing
- Act as the primary point of ownership for DevOps‑related changes, supporting delivery of the technology roadmap
- Provide technical leadership on infrastructure projects and operational initiatives
- Maintain and optimise Azure Cloud services, with a focus on scalability, security, governance, and cost control
- Manage Microsoft 365, Intune, and Defender (Endpoint, Identity, Cloud), ensuring compliance, patching, and a strong security posture
- Support and enhance hybrid infrastructure, including Windows Server, virtualisation, storage, and on‑premises environments
- Administer and harden FortiGate firewalls and UniFi switching, ensuring resilient connectivity and secure configuration
- Implement infrastructure automation and deployment pipelines using Terraform and Helm
- Configure, monitor, and tune alerting using Azure Monitor, Microsoft Sentinel, New Relic, and related tools
- Drive backup, disaster recovery, and high‑availability strategies across critical workloads
- Provide clear, authoritative technical guidance to Service Operations, Cyber Security, and wider Technology stakeholders
- Lead incident investigations, root‑cause analysis, and proactive remediation activities
- Work with third‑party partners and vendors to ensure reliable, secure service delivery
Who we are looking for
- Extensive experience in a similar cloud, technical or infrastructure role
- Expert understanding of Azure IaaS/PaaS, networking, identity and governance models
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Intune, Conditional Access, Autopilot
- Proven experience with Terraform and HELM for automated deployment
- Skilled in FortiGate firewalls, Unifi networking, and hybrid cloud connectivity
- Solid grasp of Windows Server (2016+), Linux
- Understanding of virtualisation and containerisation technologies
- Experience with monitoring and logging platforms (Sentinel, New Relic, Kibana, etc.)
- Experience of administrating GCP
- Strong knowledge with Azure Kubernetes
