What you’ll be doing
- Contract Management: Drafting and reviewing general commercial and tech-related contracts, providing feedback and advice to the relevant contract owners. Contract administration duties, including maintenance and administration of our contracts database, Docusign and legal project management platforms. Managing commercial agreements from point of initial instruction through to post completion governance and training. Develop contract approval processes, standard terms and exception approvals. Draft, review, and manage a range of commercial agreements including Non-Disclosure Agreements, Terms & Conditions of business, Software Licences and Consultancy Agreements. Keep stakeholders informed and meet with them, where appropriate, to take instructions.
- Compliance and Ethical Standards: Assist with Anti-Bribery and Anti-Modern Slavery initiatives. Support the delivery and oversight of the Code of Conduct & Ethics.
- Intellectual Property: Support the identification, protection, and management of intellectual property assets.
- Governance and Reporting: Assist in the development and implementation of governance policies and practices. Maintain the legal risk register and ensure compliance with internal policies. Complete reporting tasks as required and monitor external legal expenses. Provide assistance with auditor requests. Maintain a database of all relevant contracts and agreements.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to strategic planning initiatives to ensure organisational continuity and readiness for future developments.
- General Legal Support: Review and draft contracts and other legal documents to safeguard the company’s interests. Provide legal advice and support on various matters as needed. Conduct legal research.
Who are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- Prior experience in a paralegal, legal coordinator or legal assistant role.
- Experience and high levels of understanding of contract and commercial laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to engage with all levels of stakeholders across a business.
- Proficiency in legal research and document management.
- Familiarity with compliance standards and governance policies.
- High level of familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
