We operate a hybrid schedule, 2-3 days a week in the office.

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum, plus up to a 10% annual discretionary bonus and extensive benefits.

Working hours: Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week. We work on a core hours principle. Our core hours are 09:30 - 16:00; you can work around these to suit you!

The eCommerce Category Merchandiser is responsible for delivering a best-in-class online merchandising experience across digital healthcare and online medical services. The role drives commercial performance by optimising product and service journeys, enhancing visibility, and improving conversion through data-led insights. By ensuring online healthcare services are easy to find, understand and access, the role supports a seamless, patient-centric digital experience aligned with the organisation's mission to make healthcare more accessible and convenient.

What you'll be doing?

  • Deliver effective online merchandising across categories and propositions using the BigCommerce platform
  • Maintain website taxonomy, navigation structures, and onsite search functionality
  • Ensure accurate product setup, including attributes and supporting data
  • Manage and optimise promotional activity to support trading performance
  • Improve PDPs and PLPs to enhance user experience and conversion
  • Use data insights to implement personalisation, cross-sell and upsell strategies
  • Collaborate with commercial teams to ensure product availability and high-quality content
  • Partner with digital marketing teams to optimise landing pages and campaign performance
  • Monitor and improve key ecommerce metrics (e.g. conversion, add-to-basket, checkout journey)
  • Manage and publish website content using CMS tools and support search optimisation activities

Who are we looking for?

  • Proven capability in utilising ecommerce platforms and CMS/page builders (e.g. Storyblok, Shopify, Magento) to deliver effective online merchandising
  • Strong understanding of ecommerce KPIs (e.g. CVR, AOV, revenue, CTR, add-to-basket) with a clear focus on sales drivers, margins and profitability
  • Experience improving PDPs, PLPs and end-to-end customer journeys through UX optimisation and conversion rate optimisation (CRO) techniques
  • Hands-on experience with onsite search optimisation, product ranking, and merchandising strategies (e.g. sorting rules, lifecycle management)
  • Experience using data and analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, dashboards, A/B testing) to drive performance improvements
  • Familiarity with promotional tools, trading platforms and agile trading practices (reacting to trends, seasonality, and stock levels)
  • Exposure to personalisation and recommendation tools to enhance customer engagement and conversion
  • Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals and onsite optimisation to improve product/category visibility
  • Confident stakeholder management skills, with experience collaborating cross-functionally (e.g. commercial, marketing, tech teams)
  • Strong analytical, technical and communication skills, with proficiency in Excel and a working knowledge of HTML/CSS advantageous
