What you’ll be doing:
- Design, maintain and enhance detailed financial models to forecast business performance and provide variance analysis and commentary to budget holders.
- Drive continuous improvements in financial reporting, analysis and forecasting processes to support business performance.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of key business drivers, tracking performance and assessing their impact on financial outcomes.
- Analyse trends and performance data, providing actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders to support growth and profitability.
- Partner with stakeholders and budget owners across the business to provide real‑time financial insights and support decision‑making.
- Support commercial tenders, projects and new initiatives through robust financial modelling, cost analysis and scenario planning.
- Build strong working relationships across the organisation, including regular interaction with the Senior Leadership Team.
- Support the Commercial Finance Manager and Finance Director with ad‑hoc analysis, reporting and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data, contributing to effective financial governance and decision‑making.
Who are we looking for:
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to analyse data and support strategic decision‑making.
- Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to manipulate and analyse large and complex data sets.
- Qualified, part‑qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or qualified by experience (QBE).
- Proven ability to communicate financial information clearly to a range of stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a proactive and innovative approach to identifying solutions.
- Experience working in a fast‑paced environment, managing competing priorities and delivering to tight deadlines.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring work is completed to a high standard.
- Ability to build effective working relationships and confidently partner with stakeholders across the business.
