Are you a front-line practising pharmacist independent prescriber? Do you want the opportunity to develop a portfolio career? Do you want to apply your clinical knowledge and experience to provide assurance to patients and the public about the quality of pharmacy services and help drive improvement across a broad range of specialist clinical services?
The Role
We are looking for experienced pharmacists across Great Britain, with a strong clinical background and with experience in prescribing to join our team. You will contribute towards patient safety by helping to improve the quality of pharmacy practice and support the delivery of our 2030 vision. To reflect the growing range and complexity of clinical services delivered through registered pharmacies and by pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, we are seeking to expand our clinical capacity and expertise by recruiting experienced pharmacy professionals. In this role, you will provide specialist clinical advice and support across the organisation, including contributing to inspection activity and helping to assess the quality of clinical pharmacy services, advising our fitness to practise teams on clinical matters, educating and upskilling internal colleagues in their understanding of the evolving pharmacy landscape, and providing expert input to a range of organisational activities. You will have the opportunity to enhance your own professional profile and broaden your skillset while gaining valuable regulatory experience. The role offers exposure to collaborate with different internal teams, as well as opportunity to work with other regulators, healthcare organisations and key stakeholders. This role is a Fixed term contract until 31 March 2028, with a possibility of extension.
We welcome applications from currently practising, registered pharmacist independent prescribers from all settings with a significant and broad clinical experience in a range of areas; such as medicines safety and risk management, management of long-term conditions, mental health, aesthetics and medical cannabis.
The GPhC values diversity and welcomes applications from all sections of the community, particularly those from underrepresented groups, including candidates who identify as black.
Benefits when joining our team
In return for their commitment and enthusiasm, employees can expect a rewarding and challenging work environment, good work-life balance and workload plus an excellent benefits package that includes:
- 30 days holiday (plus bank holidays) with the option to buy an additional 5 days.
- Flexible working arrangements.
- Career breaks and sabbaticals.
- Life assurance, season ticket loan, bike loan and many more.
