We offer a range of NHS and private services at our premises, and have implemented a unique and innovative health clinic model by renting out several consultation rooms to provide pain management and physiotherapy services to patients across Manchester.
We are looking for a dynamic, driven and business-focused Superintendent Pharmacist to work closely with the Director to act as a regular Responsible Pharmacist and Senior Leader, provide sound governance and compliance with pharmaceutical and legal regulations and grow service provision.
The position is full-time, on-site and based in Manchester.
Key Responsibilities
- Performing the duties of Superintendent Pharmacist and regular Responsible Pharmacist.
- Take responsibility for the pharmacy’s clinical governance; including SOP implementation and review, audits, risk assessments, incident assessment, and quality assurance.
- Ensure complete compliance with GPh C standards, NHS contractual responsibilities, and all appropriate legislation.
- Ensure pharmacy activities and services are carried out safely and to a high standard in accordance with Gph C standards.
- Act as a Senior Leader to our experienced team of staff.
- Work alongside locums to oversee the day to day running of the pharmacy.
- Supervise stock management and purchasing, as well as controlled drug regulations.
- Act as a first professional point of contact for the pharmacy.
- Expand and grow NHS and private clinical services.
Person Specification
- GPh C registered pharmacist.
- Previous Superintendent experience or competency to perform the role.
- Decisive and organised with strong communication skills.
- Ability to drive change and maintain high standards under pressure.
- Extensive knowledge of pharmacy legislation, clinical governance, regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
- Excellent people management and leadership skills.
- Proven experience developing and maintaining SOPs, quality management, risk assessments, and audits.
- Patient-centred professional with business acumen.
- Qualified Independent Prescriber or willingness to become one.
