As a leader within our pharmacy team, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and patient care. You will manage a team of ACTs and Pharmacists, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and service quality, while working closely with the Responsible Pharmacist and Pharmacy Management on a daily basis. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about enhancing patient safety, improving patient experience, and driving continuous improvement across a high-performing pharmacy.

Work Arrangements
This is a full-time, in-person position based at our Wimpole Street pharmacy. Remote working is not available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply Your Technical Expertise - Use your training and experience to support the Pharmacierge team, contributing to the development of dispensary and support staff while upholding the organisation's standards of safety and service.
- Quality & Compliance - Review and act on operational and clinical data to improve accuracy, compliance, and safety across the Pharmacy. Lead or support investigations into near-misses, patient safety incidents, and patient or prescriber complaints.
- Data & Process Improvement - Analyse productivity and workflow data; conduct audits; maintain training matrices; and work with the Superintendent Pharmacist to ensure all SOPs are robust, current, and consistently followed.
- Training & Oversight - Develop and deliver training for ACTs and Pharmacists; support staff capability, performance, and ongoing professional development.
- Collaboration & Leadership - Work closely with the Responsible Pharmacist and Pharmacy Management. Participate in regular reviews and contribute to operational and service improvements.
- Safety & Quality Assurance - Identify, escalate, and help resolve any issues relating to medication safety or operational risk.
- Regulatory and SOP Compliance - Demonstrate strong working knowledge of pharmacy regulations and internal SOPs, maintaining accuracy and consistency in a high-volume environment.
- Communication & Patient Care - Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues, prescribers, and patients, maintaining a consistently patient-centred approach.
- Line Management & Team Development - Support the development of a high-performing team of Pharmacists and ACTs through annual reviews, coaching, guidance, and day-to-day leadership, using your experience to help them grow and excel.
Requirements
To be considered for the Accuracy Checking Team Lead role at Pharmacierge, you must meet all of the following requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Qualification (or equivalent recognised by the General Pharmaceutical Council)
- Current registration with the GPhC as a Pharmacy Technician
- Accredited Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) qualification
- Management or Leadership experience is highly desirable; however, strong demonstrable skills and leadership potential will also be considered.

What to Expect from Our Recruitment Process
At Pharmacierge, we use a multi-stage recruitment process to ensure the best possible fit for both you and our team.
- Stage 1 β Application Review - We review all applications within 1β2 working days to assess whether they meet the essential criteria for the role.
- Stage 2 β Telephone Interview - Shortlisted candidates will be invited to self-schedule a short telephone interview with our Recruitment Coordinator or a senior member of staff.
- Stage 3 β Assessments - Candidates progressing to this stage will complete a set of personality and cognitive assessments, followed by a remote Microsoft Teams interview with a senior member of the Pharmacy Team ahead of the in-person interview.
- Stage 4 β In-Person Interview - Successful applicants will be invited to our pharmacy for a panel interview. You will also have the opportunity to meet the wider team and gain an insight into the working environment.
- Stage 5 β Final Review - A member of our Senior Leadership Team will review your full application and interview performance. If all criteria are met, we will arrange a final telephone call to conclude the process.
