The Pharmaceutical Society NI is the regulator for pharmacists and pharmacy premises in Northern Ireland. Our mission is to ensure safe, high-quality services for patients as a modern, trusted and responsive regulator. The Council of the Pharmaceutical Society NI is responsible for appointing members to its Statutory and Scrutiny Committees. Members will be appointed by the Council in accordance with relevant legislation and best practice following the Pharmacy (Northern Ireland) Order 1976 and The Council of the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland (Statutory Committee, Scrutiny Committee and Advisers) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2012. These appointments will serve to protect patients and to act in the wider public interest. We are looking to recruit a Chair for the Scrutiny Committee, as well as Reserve Registrant Members for both the Statutory and Scrutiny Committees.

Assessment process

  • There are two stages to the selection process, which will include:
    • An eligibility sift (including shortlisting if applicable); and,
    • An interview.

Eligibility Sift

This is an assessment of the evidence provided in your application form against the eligibility criteria. Successful candidates at the sift stage will progress to the next step in the selection process.

Interview

The interview will include a mixture of example based and situational based questions, for example, How would you? / Tell us about a time when you?

Interview Dates

It is intended that interviews for these posts will take place at our office 73 University Street, Belfast BT7 1HL on weeks commencing 22 and 29 June 2026.
