Join a highly successful business and market leader to help continue the growth of their focused and ambitious product development pipeline. Reporting to the Vice President Biological Systems Research (BSR), you will play a crucial role in the strategic leadership within BSR, creating and executing a road map for Systems Biology and Toxicology based regulatory and scientific engagement.

The Biological Systems Research group incorporates a combination of in vitro, in vivo and in silico methods on Systems Toxicology with significant scientific expertise within each group. You will be a key member of the Biological Systems Research leadership team and be expected to make an overall contribution across all aspects of R&D, supplying scientific expertise, guidance and regulatory insight, coupled to your leadership and vision.

As well as being responsible for driving the continued success of the Biological Systems Research Group, you will also be responsible for exploring partnerships and collaborations with external academic and commercial groups involved in drug development. Key to your role will be your ability to provide a high level of scientific and subject matter expertise, the ability to think creatively, manage in an environment of manageable ambiguity, drive scientific execution of the highest quality and provide leadership within Predictive Toxicology in R&D.

You will have a high level of autonomy, decision making responsibility and be expected to possess excellent communication skills in order to develop outstanding relationships with internal and external stakeholders, scientific experts and regulatory agencies. Ideally, you will have an innovative and pragmatic approach, a desire to make a difference and the ability to lead and motivate others through your passion and enthusiasm. Your communication skills will allow you to interact at all levels, share complex information and work closely with the executive team and Board.
