Pharma-Partners are delighted to be supporting a leading pharmaceutical company with the appointment of an experienced Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join their UK & Ireland Medical Affairs team and work on an exciting product launch. This is a great opportunity for an experienced, UK based MSL to join a well-established pharmaceutical organisation and play a key role within its Neuroscience portfolio. The successful candidate will act as a trusted, non-promotional scientific expert, developing strong peer-to-peer relationships with Healthcare Professionals, Thought Leaders and researchers across the UK. You will work closely with UK & Ireland Medical Affairs, Global Medical, Market Access, Commercial and Clinical Development teams to support medical strategy through scientific exchange, insight generation, medical education and evidence development.

Key responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong scientific relationships with Thought Leaders, HCPs and external medical experts
  • Develop and execute stakeholder engagement plans across the assigned territory
  • Deliver high-quality, fair and balanced scientific exchange around disease areas, products and pipeline assets
  • Provide scientific education and presentations to external stakeholders
  • Support advisory boards, investigator meetings, scientific exchange meetings and other medical initiatives
  • Generate valuable medical insights and contribute to medical strategy
  • Support Investigator-Sponsored Studies, clinical studies, registries and real-world evidence initiatives
  • Contribute to scientific publications, abstracts and posters
  • Support Market Access activities and cross-functional brand teams

Requirements:

  • MSc, PhD, PharmD, MD or equivalent advanced scientific qualification
  • Previous experience working as a Medical Science Liaison in the UK
  • Experience working in the Neuroscience/Pain/Movement disorder space
  • Strong scientific expertise and credibility when engaging with HCPs and Thought Leaders
  • Excellent communication and scientific presentation skills
  • A strong understanding of pharmaceutical compliance and medical governance
  • Proven ability to build trusted and sustainable external relationships

Remuneration:

Basic annual salary depending on experience plus a standard benefits package.
