Pharma-Partners is exclusively recruiting for this vacancy. For this vacancy we can consider candidates at either Medical Science Liaison (MSL) or Senior MSL level and can be located in either Scotland or Northern Ireland. Working alongside a team of Senior MSLs and MSLs, this role will support a specialised portfolio of treatments that relate to a wide variety of therapy areas. The (Senior) Medical Science Liaison will focus on establishing and maintaining relationships with KOLs across the territory, support clinical development and commercialisation efforts, and acts as a scientific expert for the business. If hired as a Senior MSL the successful candidate will take on the additional responsibility as a Therapy Area Medical Lead. This means a greater level of strategic involvement and leadership/oversight of national projects both within the Medical Affairs team and with cross functional colleagues. You therefore act as more of a hybrid MSL/Medical Advisor type role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be a field medical expert for the portfolio and lead within an assigned therapy area
- Project manage national activities for a designated therapy area
- Contribute to the development of medical strategy and planning
- Engage with KOLs in scientific exchange, and develop and maintain meaningful relationships across the territory
- Share relevant insights within medical and cross-functional teams
- Support and deliver medical training of commercial field teams
- Involvement in UK clinical research activities
- Provide coaching and support to the wider field medical group
- Ensure adherence to company SOPs and the ABPI Code
- Input into cross functional plans and provide scientific expertise and advice as needed
- Represent the business and medical team at local, regional and global congress and symposia
The Candidate:
- Relevant Science based degree with advanced Degree level seen as desirable
- UK focused MSL experience
- Demonstrable experience in building and maintaining KOL relationships
- Knowledge of clinical trial processes and regulatory requirements
- Any therapy area background can be considered
- Experience in and knowledge of the different UK healthcare systems
- Strong team working and collaborative approach
- Effectively assimilate scientific and clinical data to the relevant audience
