Associate Director, Medical Affairs – UK & Ireland – Rare Disease The Associate Director, Medical Affairs will oversee an existing portfolio of Rare and Ultra Rare treatments in Haematology, and lead the team through the launch of a next generation Haemophilia treatment in 2025. Reporting into the Country Medical Director this key leadership role will be responsible for devising and implementing medical strategy for the therapeutic division and line manage a team of 4 direct reports and 3 second line reports. This is a remote based role with the expectation to be in office four times per month, and when required will attend team meetings, training days, conferences etc. For this role we’re seeking an experienced UK Medical Affairs professional with demonstrable leadership skills, direct line management experience and qualified as a Final Signatory. Responsibilities: Lead UK & Ireland Medical Affairs strategy for the Haematology division Line manage a team of 1st and 2nd line reports (office and field based) Active member of the Medical & Disease Area Leadership Teams Work with the Country Medical Director to ensure the continuous improvement of processes and activities across the Medical Affairs group Attend the relevant conferences as required Ensure delivery of high quality medical projects Effectively manage medical budgets Build and maintain relationships with KOLs Support the medical and cross functional team in launch planning Act as an internal scientific expert for Haematology Review and approve materials in line with the ABPI Code of Practice Maintain knowledge of all therapy areas within the business and support the wider medical function Candidate Requirements: UK registered Physician or Pharmacist ABPI Final Signatory Extensive Medical Affairs experience in the UK Line management experience in the pharmaceutical industry Demonstrable leadership skills and strategic thinker Cross functional project experience Confident presenter and strong communication skills Salary & Remuneration: A competitive basic salary will be offered to the successful candidate plus a benefits package to include car allowance and annual bonus Home based contract To apply for this position please use the “Apply” option or feel free to send your CV directly to the Pharma-Partners team via email info@pharma-partners.co.uk
