Azure System Engineer with Power Platform Experience We are seeking a skilled and motivated Azure System Engineer with experience in Microsoft Power Platform to join our client, initially on a contract basis for 6 months, inside IR35 – With possible extensions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions in Microsoft Azure, while leveraging Power Platform tools to automate processes, enhance productivity, and support organisational goals. Key Responsibilities Azure Administration: Design, deploy, and manage Azure infrastructure, including virtual machines, networking, storage, and Azure Active Directory (AAD). Monitor and optimize Azure resources for performance, cost efficiency, and scalability. Implement Azure governance best practices, including policies, security measures, and compliance standards. Power Platform Development and Integration: Develop, configure, and manage Power Platform solutions, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI. Integrate Power Platform solutions with other Microsoft 365 tools, Azure services, and third-party applications. Build custom connectors and APIs to extend Power Platform capabilities. Automation and Scripting: Develop scripts using PowerShell, Python, or other tools to automate Azure resource management and operational tasks. Implement automated workflows to streamline business processes using Power Automate. System Monitoring and Support: Set up and maintain monitoring tools to ensure system reliability and availability. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Azure services, Power Platform solutions, and integrations. Provide support to end-users and stakeholders, ensuring solutions meet their requirements. Collaboration and Documentation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions. Document system architecture, configurations, and procedures for future reference and knowledge sharing. Required Skills and Qualifications: Technical Expertise Proven experience with Azure services (compute, networking, storage, and identity management). Strong knowledge of Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI). Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, or similar). Certifications: Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Power Platform Fundamentals, or Power Platform App Maker) are highly desirable. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyse complex systems, identify issues, and implement effective solutions. Communication and Collaboration Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of Dynamics 365 or other CRM systems. Familiarity with security and compliance standards in cloud environments.
