Our client is a multi-strategy investment firm, looking for a Risk Application Support Engineer to join their team. The main role is to support the risk management teams in troubleshooting and deploying their code in a cloud-based risk platform. You will also support the risk applications data and their integration with front, middle and back office systems. Working across a variety of technology and risk management teams, you will aim to boost the efficiency and capabilities of the applications these teams support. Experience in python development and the support of python applications are key. Responsibilities: Engage with Risk Managers to resolve issues and identify improvement opportunities Roll out, set up, and educate end-users on new product implementations 1st and 2nd line support for risk applications reported directly by Risk teams or through PagerDuty alerts Work with external vendors’ support teams to resolve technical and content issues and deliver strategic enhancements Assist development teams, supporting new projects from requirements gathering through production Implementation and maintenance of application specific monitoring Qualifications & Requirements: Excellent communication skills and proactive attitude 2 years of experience working with investment banks, investment advisors or associated software vendors Extensive knowledge of risk analytics with ability to discuss details of these products with Portfolio Managers, Analysts and Risk Managers Experience with at least one major asset class and associated modeling and market data Experience with python development tools, processes , debugging and common packages; Python v3.8+, Git, Pandas, NumPy, Conda Applications deployment, administration, and support experience Strong SQL experience across various database implementations, including MSSQL
