Purpose of the role
Build the visibility and appeal of Phaidon International and our specialist brands through distinctive ideas, strong design and compelling content. This is a hands-on role: shaping our messaging and employee value proposition, then bringing them to life through campaigns, social media and digital content that attract clients, candidates and future employees.
Key responsibilities
- Generate ideas that get attention. Bring fresh campaign concepts, content formats and creative approaches that give people a reason to notice, engage with and remember our brands.
- Create content from concept to publication. Write copy, design social assets, produce short-form video and adapt material across channels, working with specialist designers where needed.
- Build our social presence. Understand what makes people stop, watch, read and respond. Own social planning and publishing, using strong hooks, visuals and platform-appropriate formats to reach the right audiences.
- Develop and apply our brand messaging. Translate our expertise, services and strengths into clear, distinctive website content, campaigns and sales materials.
- Shape and promote our EVP. Work with TA and Culture and engagement lead to articulate why people should join and grow with us, creating recruitment campaigns, careers content and employee stories for different talent audiences.
- Find stories within the business. Interview consultants, leaders and employees, turning their expertise and experiences into engaging content with a clear audience and purpose.
- Deliver campaigns. Take ownership of briefs, production, approvals and launch, maintaining creative quality and keeping work moving.
- Learn from performance. Test ideas, formats and messages, using audience response, enquiries and applications to improve future work.
Essential skills and qualities
- Strong design ability: confident creating polished, on-brand digital and social assets, with a good understanding of typography, layout, imagery and visual hierarchy.
- Excellent social judgement: knows how to earn attention and adapt content to different platforms, audiences and objectives.
- An ideas-led approach: proactively brings original concepts and can explain why they will connect with the intended audience.
- Strong writing and storytelling: able to make specialist subjects clear, relevant and engaging.
- Hands-on production skills: comfortable using design, video editing, social publishing and website tools.
- Ownership and pace: able to take an idea through to delivery, manage competing priorities and maintain attention to detail.
Experience required
Typically five or more years' experience in brand, content or creative marketing, with a strong portfolio demonstrating original campaign ideas, excellent writing, confident design skills and effective social content. You will have personally taken campaigns from concept to publication, creating assets and managing delivery across multiple channels. Experience developing brand messaging and employer brand or employee attraction campaigns is highly desirable. You should be comfortable working with senior stakeholders, uncovering stories within a business and translating specialist subjects into content that attracts the right audience. Experience in tech, professional services or another expertise-led business would be an advantage; however, we would be open to fast-moving industries like ecommerce.
