The Opportunity:
If you've ever wanted to build an outbound function from scratch rather than run someone else's playbook, this is that role. A Series A B2B SaaS in central London is hiring an SDR Lead to take its outbound function from zero to one. They're 50 people, $20M raised, and the investor list is something most founders would do a lot for: the founders of Slack, Figma, and Shopify, plus Y Combinator, Lachy Groom, and Jeff Weiner.
This is a player-coach role. You'd lead a small team of 3 to 4 SDRs and BDRs while still carrying your own quota. Roughly 70 percent management, 30 percent hands-on. If you genuinely enjoy being on the phone and want to stay close to the work, you'll feel at home. If you're after a pure management seat with no IC contribution, this isn't it.
What they need from you:
- 5 to 10 years of outbound B2B SaaS sales experience
- At least 2 years managing an SDR or BDR team in B2B SaaS
- Currently happy carrying a personal quota and doing hands-on outbound
- Strong cold caller, able to do it and coach it
- Built or refined an outbound playbook from scratch before
- VC-backed startup background (Series A to C). Y Combinator experience is a real plus
- Based in or commutable to central London for 4 days on-site
- No visa sponsorship and no relocation support, so candidates need to be in London already.
