Grounds Maintenance Operative

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and functionality of outdoor spaces. This role involves a variety of tasks related to landscape maintenance, ensuring that gardens, lawns, and other green areas are well-kept and thriving.

Responsibilities

• Perform general groundskeeping duties including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.

• Dig, build, and maintain garden beds and landscaping features.

• Operate and maintain power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.

• Carry out routine inspections of grounds to identify maintenance needs.

• Assist in the planting of flowers, shrubs, and trees as part of landscape enhancement projects.

• Ensure that all equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.

• Collaborate with team members to complete larger projects efficiently.

• Litter Picking and Bin replacement.

• Proficient in groundskeeping techniques with a strong understanding of landscape maintenance practices.

• Mechanical knowledge to operate and troubleshoot various gardening equipment.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a physically demanding environment.

• Experience using both hand tools and power tools safely. Inc Zero Turn Mowers.

• Strong attention to detail with a passion for maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces.

• Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members and supervisors and Clients.

• Clean Driving Licence

• Experience of the towing of Trailers

• PA1 and PA6 Certificate preffered.

• Chainsaw Certificate beneficial.
