Working in our high performing South Island Regional team, an opportunity has arisen for a Regional/Livestock Administrator based in Oamaru. This role is 35 hours per week and is offered on a 6-month fixed-term basis to provide support during an extended period of employee leave. While the role is initially fixed term, future opportunities may become available in the business and applicants interested in longer-term career prospects are encouraged to apply.
About the Role
Reporting to the Regional Manager, this role will support with the completion of key administrative tasks to ensure the effective running of the business. The successful applicant will have strong administration and office management skills, along with the ability to provide outstanding customer service both internally and externally. Flexibility to perform a range of tasks, manage competing priorities and build positive relationships with a wide variety of people is critical. The role works closely with Livestock Representatives, Regional leadership and support teams across the wider business. A can-do attitude, high attention to detail and willingness to help out where needed will ensure success.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and administering livestock and grazing contracts
- Coordinating livestock advertising requirements
- Providing support with debtor management and account enquiries
- Managing customer credit limit and account administration processes
- Preparing correspondence, reports, and business documentation
- Coordinating meetings, travel arrangements, and regional events
- Supporting office management and facilities coordination
- Delivering outstanding service to both internal and external customers
About You
You'll be an experienced administrator who enjoys working in a busy environment, juggling multiple priorities and building rapport with a wide range of people. To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
- Proven administration experience within a commercial environment
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- A great customer service ethic along with excellent communication skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
