PG Mac Ltd, established in 2008 and based in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, specialises in the buying, selling, servicing, refurbishment and rebuilding of pre‑owned industrial machine tools. Founded by Paul Procter, who has nearly 40 years' experience in the machine tool industry, we are known for integrity, quality and technical expertise. We work across the UK and overseas.
The Role
We are seeking a fully qualified Industrial Machine Tool Electrician to work both at our Gainsborough facility and on customer sites, with occasional overseas travel.
Key Duties
- Electrical servicing, installation and repair of industrial machine tools
- Building and wiring new electrical panels
- Wiring motors, switches, drives and control systems
- Decommissioning and recommissioning machines
- Fault finding, sometimes with limited drawings
- Supporting machine rebuilds and refurbishments
- Setting up drives and inverters
- Service and repair work on customer machines
Essential Requirements
- Fully qualified Industrial Machine Electrician (certificates required)
- Experience with industrial machinery and electrics
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel, including overseas
Desirable
- Mechanical knowledge
- CNC experience
- Knowledge of Siemens, Fanuc, Heidenhain or Fagor controls
