We are seeking a motivated and safety-focused Assistant Electrician to join an offshore maintenance team with a new exciting project. The successful candidate will support the electrical department in maintaining, repairing, and inspecting electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe and reliable offshore operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist electricians with the maintenance, testing, and repair of electrical systems and equipment
- Support fault-finding and troubleshooting activities on motors, generators, lighting systems, and control panels
- Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks under supervision
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of electrical equipment
- Maintain tools, spare parts, and work areas in a safe and organised condition
- Follow permit-to-work systems, safety procedures, and company regulations
- Participate in emergency response activities and safety drills when required
Requirements
- Electrical qualification, apprenticeship, or relevant technical training
- Previous offshore, marine, or industrial experience
- Good understanding of electrical systems and safety practices
