PG Global is seeking an Assistant Crane Operator for an operation in the North Sea (UK Sector) to support the crane operator in lifting, moving, and placing materials safely and efficiently on rigs, industrial facilities, and ports.
This role helps ensure smooth crane operations while learning the technical skills needed for crane operation.
Key Requirements:
- BOSIET / FOET (Client will not accept certificates from out with the EU)
- CA-EBS
- OGUK Medical
- Valid Passport
Crane Stage 2 – Essential
OPITO Banksman and Slinger (Stage 1 or 3) – Preferred
Helideck Team Member/Leader – Preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting Crane Operations
Assist the crane operator in preparing and setting up the crane.
Help with attaching, securing, and detaching loads using slings, chains, or hooks.
Communicate with the operator via hand signals, radios, or other communication devices.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure work areas are clear of hazards and personnel during lifting operations.
Follow safety protocols for load handling and crane operation.
Inspect lifting equipment, slings, and attachments for wear or damage.
Move materials to and from the crane’s working area.
Assist in organizing materials on-site for efficient lifting and placement.
