As part of Places for People Group, Places for People Students are experts in providing facilities management solutions for university campus buildings and student accommodation. Our service is focused on our partnership approach with our clients and the student experience.
We are looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer Plumber on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will support the upkeep of our student accommodation sites, ensuring all plumbing maintenance is carried out safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
On a daily basis, you will be responsible for completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and responding to reactive plumbing issues, ensuring all works are completed in line with performance requirements and service standards. This role is 5 days a week on site with working hours of 9am - 6pm with 1 hour lunch. Therefore, a basic DBS check is mandatory for this position.
The successful candidate will have experience in a plumbing maintenance role and possess the relevant qualifications:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent)
- Experience in maintenance plumbing (commercial/FM preferred)
- Knowledge of water systems, drainage and pipework
- Desirable: experience with heating systems, Gas Safe registration, or experience within student accommodation or facilities management.
