At Places for People, we hire People, not numbers! We are looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer Plumber on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will support the upkeep of our student accommodation sites, ensuring all plumbing maintenance is carried out safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

On a daily basis, you will be responsible for completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and responding to reactive plumbing issues, ensuring all works are completed in line with performance requirements and service standards.

The successful candidate will have experience in a plumbing maintenance role and possess the relevant qualifications. You'll be a proactive problem solver with a strong customer focus and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent)
  • Experience in maintenance plumbing (commercial/FM preferred)
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of water systems, drainage and pipework
  • Good communication and customer service skills

Desirable: experience with heating systems, Gas Safe registration, or experience within student accommodation or facilities management.
