The AI Creative Builder is a hands-on technical role within the AI Capability function, focused on rapidly prototyping internal applications and tools that improve how teams across OSSAI (Omnichannel Services Solutions & AI) and CX & AI operate. This role takes early-stage ideas and internal process challenges and converts them into functional, validated solutions, often within 24 to 48 hours, using modern development tools, AI platforms and automation frameworks.
Rather than broad external-facing development, the focus here is on building internal prototypes that challenge existing ways of working. You will look at how things are done today, identify where AI can replace manual effort, reduce reliance on external agencies or streamline internal workflows, and then build a working prototype to prove the concept. When a prototype proves successful, you will support its transition into a production-grade solution in partnership with the wider engineering team.
As a core part of the AI Capability team, the AI Creative Builder will contribute to reusable patterns, delivery standards and scalable frameworks that enable faster AI adoption within the organisation. The ideal candidate brings strong technical ability, a sharp eye for internal process improvement, genuine curiosity for emerging AI technologies and the confidence to operate at pace across multiple workstreams in a fast-moving delivery environment.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES- Assess existing internal processes and workflows across OSSAI and CX&AI to identify where AI-enabled prototypes could reduce manual effort, remove dependency on external suppliers or improve efficiency.
- Rapidly build working prototypes of internal applications and tools using technologies such as React, NextJS, Python and Supabase, moving from concept to functional demo within days.
- Deliver AI-enabled internal solutions including automations, workflows, dashboards and micro-applications, iterating quickly based on user feedback and validation.
- Proactively identify opportunities where internal teams are relying on manual processes or external agencies and propose AI-driven alternatives that can be prototyped and tested quickly.
- Evaluate and integrate emerging AI capabilities, tools and methodologies to continuously improve the speed and quality of internal delivery.
- Collaborate closely with the wider engineering team and external delivery partners to transition successful internal prototypes into production-grade scalable solutions.
- Work alongside the AI Capability Lead to ensure alignment with the OSS AI strategy and roadmap.
- Apply governance, compliance and security best practices throughout the build process, ensuring all work meets Pfizer standards before transitioning to production.
- Produce clear documentation and support knowledge transfer to enable solutions to be maintained, iterated and scaled by others across the organisation.
- Demonstrated experience in software development or applied AI, with a strong focus on rapid prototyping and delivering functional internal applications or tools.
- Proven ability to assess internal processes, identify improvement opportunities and translate them into practical technical solutions with minimal direction.
- Hands-on experience with modern development frameworks, low-code tools, AI agents or automation platforms.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences including senior leadership.
- Comfort working in fast-paced, iterative delivery cycles across multiple parallel workstreams.
- Ability to balance rapid delivery with thoughtful governance and responsible AI usage.
- Experience with NextJS, Supabase, N8N or AI-powered development environments such as Cursor.
- Familiarity with AI platforms and services including OpenAI, Anthropic or open-source models.
- A demonstrable portfolio of applications or internal tools built, such as GitHub repositories, livedemos or side projects that evidence practical delivery.
- Experience building tools or prototypes that improved internal processes or replaced manual workflows.
- Track record of taking solutions from early-stage prototype through to production at scale.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
