The program, which offers summer employment opportunities at various Pfizer sites in the U.K., is designed to help Pfizer businesses and teams accomplish real, impactful projects, while giving students engaging and meaningful work experience.
Departments across the Pfizer businesses and supporting divisions can accept summer student workers, and Pfizer works to match students with the department or team that most closely matches their future career interests. During the summer, students will receive challenging work assignments, have the opportunity to collaborate with Pfizer colleagues at all levels of the organization and experience Pfizer's culture first-hand.
Summer workers are evaluated with seriousness, and students will receive valuable feedback that can help them develop their skills and competencies. In most cases, student workers will be included in their teams' regular activities, including team meetings, working sessions, and meetings with internal and external stakeholders. Many student workers form long-term relationships with mentors, advisors and peers.
How do I know if I'm eligible to apply?
- Be legally authorized to work in the U.K.
- Be at least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date
- Be currently enrolled at a UK University and completing a degree course
- Be enrolled in an undergraduate programme for the term immediately following the summer programme (Graduate students are not eligible to apply)

You may select more than one job category, however we ask that you select only job categories that best represent your interests and qualifications. Eligible applicants will be considered for opportunities within the programme based on suitability to role, interests and experience as well as demonstrating a keen interest for a placement at Pfizer. Cover letters are encouraged but not required.
We are currently seeking opportunities from within the business for a 2-12 week period and have approached the following departments who have previously supported Summer Students. When completing your application form, please ensure you state which area of the business you are interested in a potential opportunity in, or 'other business' area if none of the business areas below are of interest.
- Student Worker - Digital and IT: Students may support the design, development, deployment and/or support of cutting-edge systems and tools that are critical to our business. Examples of projects may include: Application data clean-up, application testing, web application development, reports development, database development and project management.
- Student Worker - Finance: An intern within the Finance function may provide support for business unit financial initiatives. Project work could include areas such as budgeting, forecasting, and evaluation work. Students may have exposure/provide support in other areas such as pricing issues and risk management.
- Student Worker - General Business: General Business interns may be involved in providing project management support for Pfizer businesses. Project work could include building capabilities of colleagues through the creation of training materials and supporting resources; conducting online research & competitive analysis, creating and organizing relevant materials for business meetings; developing project management processes and approaches.
- Student Worker - Marketing: A marketing intern may provide project support in the local planning/execution for health fairs, local partnership events and regional conventions. Project work could also include the design of newsletter communications/content and research of digital/on-line innovative strategies to reach business goals for priority brands.
- Student Worker - Regulatory Affairs: A Regulatory Submissions intern may have the opportunity to work on regulatory submission milestones and maintaining compliance with applicable regulatory obligations. Position can also include exposure to industry regulations/quality standards and the technological aspects of submission management.
