ROLE SUMMARY: As a function in the Global Commercial Analytics (GCA) division within Pfizer, Integrated Insights & Strategy (IIS) plays a critical role to enable Pfizer's commercial brand strategy. This team functions as internal consultants and brand strategists that partner with senior commercial and cross-functional leaders, activating data driven problem solving in a way that the business can execute to drive impact and unlock value. UK is one of the key markets to drive ICD growth both in near term and longer term, which requires intensive analytics support by working with diverse verticals/functions inside and outside of GCA.
UK IIS Lead is accountable for the delivery of high quality and impactful strategic business decision support. The lead will be accountable for delivering country-specific performance measurement solutions and insights, investment decision support, bringing analytic innovation through cross-functional partnership on and above country level, and guiding near-term and long-term commercial strategy. The role serves as the executive GCA relationship manager to International key markets, accountable to Country President in IDM leadership, other country business leaders, also in a partnership with Finance, CMO, Digital, and other functions as necessary to ensure all resources are leveraged to deliver robust analytic solutions to address business issues.
UK IIS Lead is also accountable for delivering robust analytic solutions that address the highest priority business issues defined internationally and locally, which requires effective partnership with other GCA verticals including Data Science, PMP/PAE, and PAI. This person can in some cases directly work with international leaders in IDM/ICD, such as Business Transformation & ICO to identify optimal solutions that address both above-country level needs and local-specific needs and ensure exceptional delivery of robust analytic solutions, optimal actionability of insights and measurable execution of those actions, in high-time constraints.
The person will also be leading the Country and Subnational performance management framework, ensuring full KPI integration, data quality, and monthly performance tracking in line with IDM governance driving the adoption of AI-enabled analytics in the UK, including the implementation and scaling of AI-driven subnational insight solutions to accelerate forward-looking decision making.
Reporting to the IIS IDM Lead, the IIS UK Lead will serve as a strategic advisor and analytics expert to the country president and LT and will be responsible for setting a vision and leading a team of highly skilled analysts.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Proactively engage and partner with business colleagues to identify and prioritize challenges requiring analytic solutions that will drive informed decision-making.
- Lead strategic performance measurement discussions with UKMF and regional LT in partnership with Finance.
- Lead the UK Country and Subnational performance management framework, ensuring full KPI integration, data quality, and monthly performance tracking in line with IDM governance.
- Drive the analytics & measurement transformation required with evolving go-to-market model, managing the complex implementation of new capabilities and solutions.
- Enable clear line of sight of the market and competitive landscape of the pharmaceutical industry in country.
- Engage in the development of solutions to complex business issues, as needed, even if solutions are outside of IIS remit.
- Set a vision for and lead IIS team to ensure robust and consistent analytics & insights delivery.

- Ensure proactive and strongly collaborative working relationships with relevant cross functional partners as well as global and International Commercial Office IIS colleagues.
- Lead the definition and consistent application of business metrics, striving for continuous improvement and innovation in analytic approaches across all business units and brands.
- Build and foster external relationships to drive analytics as a competitive advantage at Pfizer.
- Negotiate budget, service levels and operating plan with regional leadership.
- Be an active member of the IIS IDM Leadership Team, advancing Pfizer's analytic strategy to deliver competitive advantage.
- Participate in succession planning and talent development activities across IIS IDM & International.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required with extensive experience; Masters preferred with experience in a quantitative discipline.
- Proven experience of commercial/business analytics or marketing/strategy consulting preferred.
- Track record of thought partnership with senior commercial leadership to advance organizational priorities and goals.
- Budget management and resource allocation experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry in country, including relevant data sources required to understand and generate insights about the market.
- Expertise across GCA services including data analytics, primary and secondary market research, data reporting & visualization, data processing, use of AI/ML and commercial analytic tools.
- Proven ability to influence senior leadership with the capacity to quickly understand business strategies and establish relationships of trust and credibility.
- Innovative and agile mindset.
- Demonstrated analytics & insights expertise.
- Fluency in English.
- Limited business travel required.
