Pfizer's Global Hospital & Biosimilars organisation encompasses a wide range of activities across hospital medicines, including an extensive Established Brands and Biosimilars portfolio of critical medicines. The depth and breadth of this portfolio enables us to deliver value to patients, healthcare professionals and health systems across the UK.
The Global Hospital & Biosimilars team plays a key role in managing mature hospital brands alongside an expanding biosimilars portfolio, ensuring sustainable access, strong commercial performance, and value-based partnerships within the NHS.
What can I achieve and what will I be accountable for whilst completing a placement at Pfizer?
- Working within Pfizer's Global Hospital & Biosimilars Commercial team will provide you with a unique opportunity to gain exposure to all aspects of portfolio management from product forecasting through to delivery to dispensing points.
- Through exposure to both the commercial marketing, financial and supply interfaces of the business, you will develop a broader understanding of how hospital pharmaceutical markets operate.
- You can look forward to developing critical business skills and being a valued team player.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Portfolio Leads across Established Brands and Biosimilars portfolios, including performance tracking and insight generation
- Ownership of internal and external supply shortages reporting/communications
- Assisting with material development and approval
- Project Implementation

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Type of person we are looking for, in relation to Skills, Knowledge and Motivation:
- Completing a Degree that requires a placement year as part of the course or taking a gap year. You must be enrolled at a UK University for the duration of your placement.
- Excellent verbal, written, analytical and presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong Maths and English skills
- Confidence to engage with Pfizer personnel at all levels
- Basic business, commercial, and numerical/analytical acumen
- Excellent interpersonal skills, tenacity and the ability to influence others
- Proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint
