Emblaveo & Zavicefta Brand Marketing Lead (BML) – ICO Region
Role Summary
We are seeking a bold, strategic, and collaborative leader to join the ICO Specialty Care Hospital team in a high-impact regional role that combines portfolio brand strategy ownership, cross-functional leadership, and tactical excellence.
As Emblaveo & Zavicefta Brand Marketing Lead (BML), you will be at the forefront of a transformative growth opportunity for the Hospital Antibacterials portfolio. Leading two strategically co-positioned antibacterial therapies across the International Commercial Office (ICO) region, including a launch brand (Emblaveo) with many key markets having yet to launch, you will shape a unified market strategy that maximizes the synergies between Emblaveo and Zavicefta while driving competitive advantage in a dynamic multi drug-resistant antibacterial landscape.
This role offers a unique opportunity to lead integrated brand strategy across a co-marketed portfolio, drive country-level execution, and influence across a complex matrix while delivering meaningful clinical and commercial impact for patients and healthcare systems. Managing dual-product complexity as a strategic asset, you will be catalysts for innovation in multi drug-resistant antibacterial treatment paradigms across the ICO.
As the Emblaveo & Zavicefta brand champion in ICO, you will lead the development of comprehensive strategic and tactical brand plans, performance metrics, and customer-centric content that leverage the distinct value propositions of each product while capitalizing on their complementary positioning. With no dedicated Global Hospital team, this role is the strategic anchor for both products across the region and above, ensuring consistency, agility, and excellence in execution across all country markets.
Role Responsibilities
Marketing Leadership & Strategic Execution – Portfolio Perspective
Serve as the ICO regional expert for Emblaveo & Zavicefta, leading integrated brand strategy and execution while maintaining the distinct positioning and clinical utility of each product.
Chair the regional governance table with country teams, Customer Content Managers (CCM) and enabling functions; orchestrate alignment on both individual product strategies and portfolio-level initiatives.
Keep Area Commercial Leads (ACLs) and country teams aligned on regional strategy, product differentiation, and co-marketing opportunities.
Lead market research and competitive insight generation to inform planning and identify multi drug-resistant antibacterial market opportunities, treatment patterns, and customer needs.
Develop and execute regional strategic and tactical brand plans—both product-specific and portfolio-integrated—aligned with cross-functional and local market needs.
Support CCM to drive omnichannel content creation and adaptation with CoLab and external agencies; track country-level engagement and reach metrics to continuously refine strategy and maximize portfolio impact.
Oversee global product supply management and allocations in collaboration with cross-functional team (PGS, CPM, etc.)
Chair JDC/JCC committee in collaboration with North America license holder & partner
Identify and scale best practices across both brands to optimize competitive positioning and market impact; champion cross-product learning and synergy opportunities.
Lead the co-positioning strategy with country commercial teams, ensuring that Emblaveo and Zavicefta are positioned as complementary solutions within the multi drug-resistant antibacterial treatment paradigm.
Performance & Financial Accountability – Dual-Product Focus
Track and report brand performance for both Emblaveo and Zavicefta across ICO using financial and non-financial KPIs; maintain visibility on portfolio-level performance drivers.
Co-lead LRF, LE/OP, and monthly performance processes with the Commercial Lead; provide actionable insights on product dynamics, competitive threats, and market opportunities.
Identify emerging market opportunities and contribute to strategic scenario modeling for both individual products and the combined portfolio.
Provide mid- and long-term brand outlooks and develop growth plans that inform investment decisions, tactical planning, and resource allocation across the multi drug-resistant antibacterials portfolio.
Internal Communications, Stakeholder Engagement & Upskilling
Lead internal brand communications for both products, including training materials, market updates, and expert sessions that enhance field team capability and market understanding.
Promote continuous learning, best practice sharing and tactical workshops; foster a collaborative environment where product teams and country organizations share insights and innovations.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders—including Sebastien Martel (Commercial Lead), country brand teams, external agency partner representatives, and cross-functional partners—to ensure alignment and support.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required; advanced scientific degree (M.Sc., Ph.D.) in microbiology, infectious diseases, pharmacology, or related field, or MBA preferred.
Extensive marketing experience in anti-infectives, multi drug-resistant antibacterials, or hospital/specialty care product management; demonstrated expertise in complex, multi-indication portfolio management preferred.
Proven success in global or regional marketing roles with strong financial acumen and experience managing P&L accountability. Local market experience preferred.
Experience working across countries and cultures in matrix environments; demonstrated ability to influence and lead without direct authority.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills; ability to engage effectively with clinical, commercial, and commercial partner stakeholders.
Advanced experience in portfolio management, brand strategy, and competitive positioning; demonstrated capability in managing multiple products and strategic initiatives concurrently.
Demonstrated fluency in AI-driven tools and approaches, with an innovative and pioneering mindset. Experience leveraging solutions (e.g., Copilot, Copilot Agents, Claude, GenAI) is required.
Executive presence and emotional intelligence, with a track record of building trust and influencing beyond direct accountability.
