The Director, CMO International Program Management Lead will be accountable for leading a team of 10–15 Senior Program Managers responsible for the successful implementation of CMO programs across International Markets. This role will provide strategic program management leadership, optimize Senior Program Managers resource allocation, and drive operational discipline to ensure CMO and ICD prioritized initiatives are executed with excellence, with high-quality delivery and aligned with business priorities.
As a subject matter expert in program orchestration, the Director will partner closely with CMO verticals, International Commercial Division, International Commercial Office/Emerging Markets Commercial Office, and in-market leaders to prioritize, sequence, and implement complex initiatives that advance business objectives. The role will manage direct and matrixed resources, influence senior stakeholders, solve complex execution challenges, and ensure risks, interdependencies, and decisions are proactively managed to enable timely and sustainable program outcomes.
The role will champion innovation, simplification, and continuous improvement across International Program Management, leveraging people, technology, and scalable ways of working to strengthen delivery excellence. This leader will build team capability, provide clear direction and governance, and ensure programs are implemented with strong market engagement, effective change management, and measurable business impact across diverse cultures, geographies, and time zones.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the International Program Management function, providing strategic direction, governance, and functional expertise to ensure CMO programs are prioritized, sequenced, and implemented with excellence across International Markets.
- Lead, coach, develop and motivate a high-performing team of 10–15 Senior Program Managers, strengthening program management capability, accountability, and consistent delivery standards across the organization.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in program orchestration, advising CMO, International Commercial Division, ICO/EMCO, and market leaders on program design, deployment strategy, execution risks, and operating model implications.
- Create and oversee integrated global, International, and local roadmaps that translate enterprise priorities into actionable market implementation plans with clear timelines, milestones, interdependencies, and decision points.
- Establish and manage governance, portfolio management, and executive reporting forums that provide transparency, clear ownership, disciplined prioritization, and effective escalation across CMO programs.
- Partner with senior CMO, commercial, regional, and in-market stakeholders to align program scope, resources, and deployment approaches with business priorities, market readiness, and customer needs.
- Manage direct and matrixed people, technology, and financial resources to optimize capacity, allocate Senior Program Manager support effectively, and enable delivery of complex initiatives across multiple markets and workstreams.
- Drive end-to-end program implementation by coordinating cross-functional execution, managing interdependencies, resolving complex issues, and ensuring global standards are adapted appropriately to local market needs.
- Lead proactive risk, issue, and dependency management across CMO, Digital, Legal, Compliance, Commercial, and market teams, influencing senior leaders to remove barriers and accelerate decision-making.
- Embed outcome-based performance management through OKRs, KPIs, and shared measurement frameworks that demonstrate business value, adoption, sustainability, and transition from project delivery to business operations.
- Champion innovation, simplification, AI-enabled ways of working, and continuous improvement to strengthen delivery excellence, expand team capacity, and improve the effectiveness of program management practices.
- Influence senior management decisions that impact International CMO program direction, long-term objectives, and organizational effectiveness across multiple markets, cultures, and time zones.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- BS/BA Required
- Strong commercial industry experience
- Demonstrated history leading business transformation, innovation, growth, and simplification programs that deliver measurable value
- Demonstrated ability to embed AI to transform and elevate workflows
- Strong AI fluency, including the ability to identify, evaluate, and responsibly apply AI-enabled solutions to improve program planning, execution, governance, stakeholder engagement, and delivery productivity
- Leadership experience including leading direct and indirect teams in a matrixed, multi-market environment
- Proven track record of delivering business performance
- Global experience working across markets spanning different cultures, languages, and time zones
- Self-motivated, with a strong ability to work in “white space” and drive toward an aspirational vision
- Excellence in driving highly collaborative and productive cross-functional relationships across global and regional stakeholders
- Demonstrated agility and ability to drive program completion in expedited timeline
- Highly accountable; possessing a high energy level, sense of urgency, creativity, decisiveness
- Proven track record of leading engaged and highly effective teams
