Brepocitinib International Market Development Lead

Brepocitinib International Market Development Lead

Full-Time No working from home possible
Pfizer

ROLE SUMMARY

The International Commercial Office will establish a commercial operating model for brepocitinib, a TYK2/JAK1 inhibitor. Our initial indication (pending regulatory approval) is focused on dermatomyositis, a rare chronic systemic autoimmune disease characterized by muscle weakness and skin rashes.

The International Market Development Lead position is critical to shaping the market ahead of the Brepocitinib launch and driving sustained patient access. Brepocitinib is a priority brand within the ICO portfolio with significant opportunity to drive impact for patients and sustainable growth for Pfizer. As Pfizer has the ex-US and ex-Japan rights, ICO will lead the end-to-end launch of Brepo across all International markets.

As is often the case in Rare Diseases, the patient journey is complex and the treatment algorithm varies widely internationally and even within countries. Once diagnosed, patients are predominantly treated in centres of excellence but a broad range of specialties are involved in their care. The fact that two competitors are expected close to Brepo launch only heighten the importance of effective market development and this makes this role both challenging and attractive.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead on the Centre of Excellence (COE) uptake acceleration strategy across international markets, partnering with countries to ensure best-in-class adoption of Brepocitinib

  • Own the end-to-end patient journey for Brepocitinib internationally, identifying key barriers and opportunities across the diagnosis, treatment and monitoring pathway.

  • Partnering with medical colleagues to ensure a clear definition of the target patient profile for Brepo at launch and how that then expands as COEs grow their prescribing

  • Work cross-functionally with our Market Access and Medical colleagues to ensure alignment in market development activities, whilst ensuring rigorous compliance to all PFE policies

  • Lead the International Medical Education (Med Ed) strategy, ensuring physicians understand the significant treatment gap that currently exists pre-launch and the benefits of Brepocitinib in addressing those post launch

  • Lead on Brepo KOL strategy for the ICO, partnering with Global colleagues as appropriate & building out a plan that engages KOLs effectively in launch planning

  • Lead the international unbranded disease awareness campaign for dermatomyositis (DM), driving increased diagnosis rates and broadening the pool of patients who can benefit from Brepocitinib at launch

  • Partner with the Commercial Lead and x-functional team to ensure market development activities are fully integrated with the broader launch plan and that progress is regularly reported to senior leadership

  • Drive Market Development Performance Tracking

  • Leverage AI and digital tools across all market development activities, from patient journey analytics and COE targeting to campaign personalisation and Med Ed delivery, to drive accelerated market shaping and brand adoption

REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Significant experience in Regional/Global Marketing Teams with demonstrated capability of working across countries and cultures.

  • Demonstrated successful track record in managing virtual teams and matrix.

  • Extensive and multiple years of Marketing experience.

  • Broad knowledge and experience of the relevant healthcare and pharmaceutical environment.

  • Commercial/portfolio management experience, including accountability for revenues/operating expenses (P&L), asset allocation, value and cost driver decisions.
