Undergraduate Regulatory Strategist

Applicants must be completing a placement as part of a degree course at a UK University, either through Year in Industry/Industrial Placement or Gap Year. Only candidates who submit the Pfizer Placement Application Form will be considered.
Department Overview
- Regulatory Strategy is a dynamic department that proactively works with drug development and various functional lines to ensure Pfizer meets the requirements of Global Health Authorities.
- Regulatory Strategists aim to secure regulatory approval in a compliant, creative, efficient and commercially viable manner by defining and executing asset‑specific regulatory strategies across all stages of the product life cycle.
- The department leads dialogue with Global Health Authorities on behalf of Pfizer.
- Regulatory Strategy engages with different business functions and regions, offering unique insight into research & development and commercial aspects of the pharmaceutical industry.
What I will achieve and be accountable for during my placement
Global Regulatory Sciences supports a diverse portfolio of products across multiple therapeutic areas, including Inflammation and Immunology, Internal Medicine, Non‑malignant Haematology, Vaccines, Infectious Diseases and Global Brands. You will develop and implement regulatory strategies for innovative medicinal products and maintain Pfizer’s marketed products to the highest standards of quality, safety and efficacy across different regions.
Involved in day‑to‑day activities such as compilation of general regulatory project documents, clinical trial applications, regulatory dossiers and replies to regulatory questions received from health authorities. You will contribute to global regulatory strategies and implementation plans, ensuring an aligned regional position is reached and agreed for assigned projects, monitor progress of regulatory plans while addressing identified risks, and take a proactive role in maintaining systems, processes and procedures relating to regulatory strategy.

Start Date
Placements will start 1st September 2026 and will run for 12 months. The start date is fixed due to the 2‑week induction and onboarding programme.
