How You Will Achieve It

  • Contribute intellectually to the design and interpretation of a rigorous human genetics-led study of determinants of immune-mediated diseases
  • Perform intricate analyses of individual-level genetic, molecular, demographic, and clinical data to discover novel risk factors for immune-mediated diseases
  • Determine the causality of such risk factors using methods in human genetics
  • Characterize genetic correlations between diverse immune-mediated diseases
  • Explore and validate results across population-scale biobank datasets
  • Interpret the immunological mechanisms and significance of all novel associations
  • Publish in a high-impact journal

Must Have

  • PhD in human/statistical genetics or related field
  • Willingness to make a minimum 2-year commitment
  • No more than 2 years of post-degree experience
  • Successful record of scientific publications with at least one first-author manuscript published or submitted for publication in a peer-reviewed journal
  • Familiarity with common methods for analysis/associations with individual-level genetic data, and post-GWAS analyses (S-LDSC, MR, etc)
  • Experienced with common statistical methods/tests; strong coding experience
  • Willingness to learn about immune-mediated diseases
  • Ability to devise innovative bespoke analyses and work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including communication with non-scientists, and high attention to detail

Nice to Have
